2.- PERSONALIZED ATTENTION
Once you have sent us your information, a patient coordinator will contact you to clarify any possible doubts you may have regarding the surgery.
Giving you a personalized attention from your first call until the end of your surgery.
3.- COSTS AND FORMS OF PAYMENT
After clarifying all your doubts, you will be asked for a 15% deposit in order to reserve the surgery date. The rest will have to be paid at least 2 days before the surgery.
In case you have applied for a credit with a Financial Group, they will be in charge of making the direct deposit in Doctor Leal’s account two days before the surgery.
There are different ways of payment, such as credit card financing or you can make the payment by making the deposit in the account in Dr. Buenaventura Leal..
For the option of payment through deposit to the account in Dr. Buenaventura Leal. you need to contact your patient coordinator to assist you in the process.
4.- PREVIOUS EXAMS AND CARE
It is necessary to perform laboratory tests and X-rays before the surgery, you can perform them in your city and send them via WhatsApp or email, for the doctors of the team to review them, and if necessary send you some medical treatment. These studies are to assess your current state of health so that you are in the best conditions for your surgery.
It is recommended that you practice light to moderate exercise, such as walking, and avoid foods with excess fat and the consumption of some medications (such as aspirin and / or anticoagulants) and you should also avoid alcohol 2 weeks before the surgery, if you smoke, you should stop smoking 15 days before your surgery, otherwise inform your doctor in the assessments of the specialists who will make you to your arrival in Monterrey, one day before your surgery.
5.- YOUR SURGERY IN MONTERREY
In the city of Monterrey, the staff at Dr. Buenaventura Leal will be waiting for you.
We will pick you up at the airport or bus station, depending on your preference. We will then take you to check into your hotel before visiting Dr. Buenaventura Leal’s office, where he will personally consult with you and explain how the surgery will be performed the following day.
Additionally, you will undergo preoperative evaluations in Monterrey with Dr. Buenaventura Leal’s team of medical specialists: the cardiologist internist, the pulmonologist, the anesthesiologist, the psychologist, and the nutritionist to ensure you are in the best condition for your surgery.
6.- BACK HOME
When you return home, you will feel much better and completely restored. You must remember to follow the post-operative instructions to the letter.
After your surgery, follow-up consultations are at 3, 6 and 12 months and every year thereafter. Currently they are offered by Videoconference, you just send your laboratory studies in advance before the consultation for the Doctor to review them and give you his comments during your appointment.
After your surgery, we recommend you to keep in touch with the Obesity and Diabetes Center either by phone or email, for any questions, comments or suggestions you would like to make we are at your service, it is recommended that all patients of any of the obesity surgeries have blood tests once a year, this in order to monitor their good physical and nutritional condition.
7.- NUTRITIONAL CARE
The nutritionist will visit you on the days you are hospitalized to give you detailed instructions about your diet and the menus to follow. The Surgery Food Plan must be followed to the letter since it is fundamental to obtain an excellent result after the Surgery. Remember that you always have the support of the Medical Team, as well as the Lic. in Nutrition who can guide you in any questions you have about your diet.
